How to Avoid Getting Scammed

Although I have not been at this for very long (about six months or so) I have done enough research to avoid being taken for my money. There are certain survey sites or sites titled " How to Make Money online" that are definitely to be avoided. I have compiled a list of things to watch out for or "red flags" when volunteering your personal information on line.

1. Never pay for a list or for what advertisers call "unlimited access to top survey sites". There are many good sites out there that will give the names of legitimate survey sites and will not charge you a dime. Just use the tag line "free to join survey sites" and that should get you started.

2. If the survey sites seems too good to be true it probably is. Its not realistic to believe you can make "up to $75 per hour". Most cash surveys pay between $2 and $5 per surveys while some pay up to $10 for special projects. And some surveys even pay in free product samples. Love those cookies!!!

3. Some offers disguise themselves as surveys. Like for example: Answer this quick survey and you will win a Nintendo Wii. After answering the quick survey you are usually required to complete several offers and spend your hard earned money before you have even the chance
for a Wii.

4. If you have a question about the legitimacy of a survey site check the better business bureau. No complaints filed usually means a clean bill of health. Sites that have been listed on the better business bureau as mail undelivered are usually ones to avoid for if they have no fixed mailing address how can they be trusted?

5. Check out a site that has a questionable list of survey sites posted or visit forums to see what the people that have been doing this for years have to say about the sites you have in mind.

Above all be careful but have fun. There are more than a handful of good paying survey sites that are legitimate and that will give you the opportunity to make some extra money while having fun at completing there surveys.
